NDRC preparing new stimulus package
The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) is preparing a new stimulus package to raise salaries and taxable income thresholds for state workers, according to state media. The package, intended to boost consumption, would come from new funds not included in the stimulus package already announced. It is not yet clear how much the new stimulus package would cost. Several public services, including telecommunications and parking fees, are said to be up for reductions as part of the package. The new package has been revised several times and could be presented at a Communist Party work meeting at the beginning of December.
